Combining an infeasible interior point method with the proximal method of multipliers, the algorithm can handle ill-conditioned convex quadratic programming problems without the need for linear independence of the constraints. The solver is written in header only 'C++ 14' leveraging the 'Eigen' library for vectorized linear algebra. For small dense problems, vectorized instructions and cache locality can be exploited more efficiently. Allocation free problem updates and re-solves are also provided. authors: - family-names: Narasimhan given-names: Balasubramanian email: naras@stanford.edu - family-names: Schwan given-names: Roland - family-names: Jiang given-names: Yuning - family-names: Kuhn given-names: Daniel - family-names: Jones given-names: Colin N. preferred-citation: type: generic title: 'PIQP: A Proximal Interior-Point Quadratic Programming Solver' authors: - family-names: Schwan given-names: Roland - family-names: Jiang given-names: Yuning - family-names: Kuhn given-names: Daniel - family-names: Jones given-names: Colin N. year: '2023' doi: 10.48550/arXiv.2304.00290 repository: https://bnaras.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/PREDICT-EPFL/piqp-r commit: 717718a4c4c1471e27ee23b106c0e12072c35384 url: https://predict-epfl.github.io/piqp-r/ date-released: '2026-10-06' contact: - family-names: Narasimhan given-names: Balasubramanian email: naras@stanford.edu references: - type: generic title: 'piqp: R Interface to Proximal Interior Point Quadratic Programming Solver' authors: - family-names: Narasimhan given-names: Balasubramanian email: naras@stanford.edu - family-names: Schwan given-names: Roland - family-names: Jiang given-names: Yuning - family-names: Kuhn given-names: Daniel - family-names: Jones given-names: Colin N. year: '2023'
